Residence The court had to decide in which care home K should reside: her current, mainly Polish-speaking one, or the mainly English-speaking one proposed by her family as being closer to them. The "magnetic factor" was the need for K to be able to communicate freely 24/7, unhindered by any language barrier, so it was in her best interests to remain where she was.
