Links
Internal (to another WikiMentalHealth page)
Place two square brackets at each side of the page name, e.g. [[Mental health caselaw]] becomes Mental health caselaw
Note that you can use (for example) s2 as a shorthand for MHA 1983 s2 as the former page automatically redirects to the latter.
External (e.g. to Bailii)
The easy way:
- Just type in the full website address, e.g. http://www.bailii.org.uk becomes http://www.bailii.org.uk
The hard way:
- Enclose the website address within single square brackets.
- After the website address, leave a space and type the website name.
e.g. [http://www.bailii.org.uk The Bailii website] becomes The Bailii website
Adding section headings (like this one)
Enclose the section heading with == on either side, e.g. == Section heading ==.
Use === for sub-headings.
Advanced: redirect pages
These are used particularly for sections of the Mental Health Act. For example, the proper page for section 2 is MHA 1983 s2 but throughout the site it is often referred to as s2. To make this shorthand easier, the short-named page is a redirect to the long-named page. The 's2' page only contains the text: #REDIRECT[[MHA 1983 s2]] The redirect system could be used for any other synonyms.
