HAB Law, Watford - Court of Protection Solicitor/Paralegal (listed until 28/4/23)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor and Paralegal (1+ years exp) to join our Court of Protection department based in Watford.
The successful candidate will focus on the firm's busy Court of Protection caseload and will be able to take on / assist with existing Court of Protection matters, including proceedings under s.16 and s.21A MCA 2005, deputyship work, Lasting Powers of Attorneys and DoLS. The successful candidate will also be expected to regularly work with the Official Solicitor and help build up and develop the support team.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and develop strong relationships with a wide range of people and have excellent client servicing and business development skills.
Person Specification:
- Committed to a career in Court of Protection work
- Able to work to tight deadlines and in a high paced environment
- Good client focus
- Flexible and proactive approach with 'can do' attitude
- Organised and able to prioritise
- Good Microsoft skills particularly in word and excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with legal aid and CCMS is preferable
